Fun & Faith
At St Richard’s, we believe that children and young people are really special, and we try to do all that we can to welcome them, provide fun activities for them, to teach them about our faith, as well as seeing them flourish.
Many families attend our 10:30am service on Sundays, and children aged 4-16 can attend Sunday clubs for their age group while their parents/carers worship in the main service. Many more children and young people attend the weekly groups, which meet during term time and cater for every age group.
Hear Wendy, our Children’s Worker, talk about what being a church family means to us at St Richard’s.
Explorers (7-11s)
Tuesdays, 6:00-7:15 pm
Explorers is a lively club for primary school children in years 3-6 which runs on Tuesday evenings. Each week we have a number of different activities, so there is something for everyone.
For the first ten minutes of each session children choose between playing with board games such as Connect 4, Tumbling Monkeys or Twister, or doing something more energetic such as soft ball games. Then we join together for a themed talk which often involves audience participation! This is usually followed by some creative activity - arts and craft, cooking, or puzzles. The evening finishes with an organised group game.
Once in a while we do something completely different, such as a treasure hunt, party, or an outing (e.g. to the Pottery Cafe in Teddington, Feltham Tenpin Bowling or Jump Giants).
Please contact Wendy for more information.
Messy Church ( for children & their families)
Various dates, 3.45-5.30pm
Messy Church is an expression of church which includes crafts, music, eating together, Bible stories and more. It is intergenerational at its heart, with the whole family invited to join in, to serve on team, to play together.
Our next Messy Church sessions will take place on Thursday 16 October and Thursday 4 December 2025.
