At St Richard’s, we believe that children and young people are really special, and we try to do all that we can to welcome them, provide fun activities for them, to teach them about our faith, as well as seeing them flourish.
Many families attend our 10:45 am service on Sundays, and children aged 0-11 can attend Sunday clubs for their age group while their parents/carers worship in the main service. Many more children and young people attend the weekly groups, which meet during term time and cater for every age group.
We also run an annual holiday club, which is normally in the first full week of the summer holidays, which around 150 children and young people attend. We also run shorter holiday clubs for Halloween and Good Friday.
Thursdays, 9:15 - 11:15 am (term time)

Explorers is a lively club for primary school children which runs on Tuesday evenings. Each week we have a number of different activities, so there is something for everyone.
For the first ten minutes of each session children choose between playing with board games such as Connect 4, Tumbling Monkeys or Twister, or doing something more energetic such as soft ball games. Then we join together for a themed talk which often involves audience participation! This is usually followed by some creative activity - arts and craft, cooking, or puzzles. The evening finishes with an organised group game.
Once in a while we do something completely different, such as a treasure hunt, party, or an outing (e.g. to the Pottery Cafe in Teddington or Feltham Tenpin Bowling).
We also sponsor a guide dog puppy and get regular news on his progress. Sessions cost £1.50 per child.
For any of the above groups, please contact Emma Hughes on 07871 050778 for more information.
The Hub (11-18s)
Wednesdays, 7:30 - 9:00 pm
The Hub is a fun and relaxed group for secondary age young people. During the evening there is an opportunity to relax, chat, listen to music and play games like table tennis, pool, football and outdoor games during the summer. The evening costs £1 per session, but includes a drink and snack.
The Hub is a phone-free zone to help the young people engage more productively with each other. We also spend a short time each week looking at different topics relevant to life and faith. A couple of times a term we go on outings (e.g. bowling, swimming, ice skating), and spend most summer sessions in the local park.
For more information on The Hub please contact Chris Kennedy (07941 435622) for more information.
